The Recent Blog Update

Well, it’s been a few weeks since I implemented the new design for the blog and, with an extra busy work schedule this year, I haven’t been able to devote as much time to this blog as I would liked. However, the things distracting me are mostly beneficial and will allow me to start setting aside more time for this and other personal projects.

As I’ve written so much about before, I hope to more regularly start jamming this blog full of quality tech tips, web programming and design related tutorials, discussions, ramblings, and other such goodness off the top of my head. So stay tuned!

Cliff Notes: New blog design, lots of new contents on its way.

Tips for Installing Daemon Tools on Centos 5

If you run into this error:

cp: cannot stat `compile/svscan’: No such file or directory

Look in the src/ directory of the Daemontools folder. Open the file called error.h.

In that file, look for the line…

extern int errno;

Change it to say…

#include <errno.h>

Now go back to the Daemontools folder and run package/install to install.

If it’s successful you should see:

Creating /service…

Adding svscanboot to inittab…

init should start svscan now.
