Remote Control Cars

I’ve never been a huge RC follower or hobbyist but I’ve always loved playing with them. With the big new yard, me and several of my friends setup an RC track in one corner. We pulled a bunch of trees out that were dying slow deaths and made a few berms, a woop section, couple jumps, and started pounding the dirt!

With so many of my friends being into the RC scene and seeing how big the hobby actually is nowadays (there are legitimate RC events and races now, with large purses, paid professionals, etc.). I’ve decided to add another website to my growing network of enthusiasts websites.

The new website will be called, simply.. RadioCont.ro/l I decided to throw traditional domain name sense to the wind and go for something unique and hopefully catchy. That’s right.. no DOT COM, or DOT NET. Crazy!

RadioCont.ro/l/forums is the url for the Forums section of the site.

The site will feature product and car reviews, upcoming events, and other content related to the RC scene.

New Google Phone Unveiled! T-Mobile G1 – First Android powered phone!

People have been talking, and speculating, on the new Google phone (or G-Phone) for quite some time now. Will it live up to the hype? Google promises to deliver a phone that is above all else, FAST.

A spokesman for Google’s partner in Android, PacketVideo, told Forbes that the new phone would beat any other phone in speed. He also sought to reassure people who worried that Google’s branding of the phone would be overly intrusive, saying that there would not be a Google banner on every screen and that an ad would not load every time a call was made. The spokesman also said that Google will have its own store for Android applications.

I think Google will do really well with the phone and I have faith that it will deliver on most counts.

The Dirt Empire is Officially Launched

So, a side-project of mine for a long time has been the Dirt Empire. The vision for it is to build a large network of desert-related websites and forums covering many different off-road and dirt-related topics such as prerunners and desert racing (trophy trucks, truggies, buggies, etc.), motocross (competition, freestyle motox, etc.) and even other dirt-related hobbies (off-road RC cars, bmx, downhill mountain biking, etc.).

Chase Web Design

I’ve been doing web design for several years now and have had several sites in the past for my portfolio and client documentation. The newest website is ChaseWebDesign.net and it will be updated constantly as I progress in my work. I’ve been extremely busy this year with graphic design and web development so I’m pretty sure the site will fill-out pretty quickly and have some informative and useful content up there soon. I’ll also be making free themes for WordPress, Coppermine, and other popular PHP scripts. Webdes1gn.net will also be tied into ChaseWebDesign.net and moreso with Cha2e.com and a few other projects soon. Stay tuned!

Client Area & Documentation

One of the biggest things I’m working on at the moment is getting a good project management system setup and going for my design clients. An online visual indicator of the project progress is very assuring to a client and helpful for me because I won’t have to spend as much time on the phone explaining updates and progress when it will be all laid cleanly in the project manager.

Centralized Portfolio
For once, I’ll actually have a centralized portfolio with a large collection of my past work. I’ve done a lot of sites, banners, graphics, etc. over the years and it will be nice to have them all in one spot. It’ll also be inspiration/motivation to get new work done and expand my style and skills.

DezertS10.com is the place for S10 Prerunners owners to come together and discuss their favorite off-road platform! S10′s are cheap and can be modified to well-performing desert trucks for an affordable price nowadays. They are pretty capable and their 4.3 V6′s have lots of potential! They are basically a small block 350 with two cylinders chopped off. You can run a lot of parts for a SBC Chevy on them with little or no modification.

So for you all desert guys out there rocking GMC Sonoma prerunners or Chevrolet S10 prerunners, join the crew over at DezertS10!
